We've added a number of new, and improved existing, product personas. These personas have been built to allow testing of different features within the platform and provides you with multiple possibilities in terms of what data can be returned by our employment and income verification process.
The interface now automatically adjusts font colours when contrast is too low, ensuring text remains clear and readable in all configurations.
We’ve refreshed the sign up process with clearer guidance, improved validation, and a smoother flow from account creation to getting started, making it easier to join and get set up.
You can now see self employment listed as its own activity type. Activities declared as self employed or self employment will be automatically categorised accordingly.
Employment activities with an employer name matching common self employment terms are now automatically treated as self employment.
A new insight highlights short periods where no income was received, helping to identify gaps between activities more clearly.
Applicants who were interrupted by HMRC downtime will now receive an email once the service is available again, with a link to resume their verification.
Applicants will now see a clear message if HMRC is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Where other data sources are available they can continue with those, and where HMRC is the only option they will be informed that they cannot proceed at this time.
Clients can now display their own branding on redirect pages during applicant verifications, creating a more consistent and trusted experience.
Our previous employer search functionality required exact matches for employer names, which can be frustrating for users who might not know the exact spelling or name variations. To address this, we've added fuzzy matching and improved response ranking to improve search accuracy and searchability accommodating spelling errors and variations in terminology.
We now allow applicants to provide their National Insurance Number up to 2 times before taking them to the next data source if we cannot successfully match it with the Payroll provider.
If an applicant can't, or doesn't want to connect to HMRC, we will ask them what happened.
If the applicant selects "I don't want to connect it" or "other", we'll now show them an extra page that provides additional information on why the HMRC connection is useful & security at Konfir.
We identified that data reported by some employers to HMRC were duplicated. This was particularly common among NHS Trusts. We've now released functionality to merge any duplicate employments from the same employer from HMRC.
We've rolled out a suite of checks on National Insurance Number to maximise data connectivity and conversion rates.
If an invalid National Insurance Number is provided, we'll clear the provided value and ask the applicant to re-enter the correct one in our journey.
We've added 6 banks into our Bank Selection screen that are not supported by Open Banking yet.
When an applicant selects one of these banks, they'll be taken to the next available data source to ensure there are no deadends in the journey.
When creating a verification via API, you can now send through a custom ID per activity.
We'll return the custom ID via the TImeline endpoint to help match verified data with data in your system.
