In our very first Learning Lab blog post, we have gone back to the basics of the Konfir solution and broken down what we do, and how we do it into a couple of easy-to-read items below.

The Konfir solution streamlines the traditional verification process by combining Payroll, Open Banking and HMRC data to instantly verify a user’s employment and income history with specific companies the user has worked for over the last 6 years, instantly. This includes providing verifiers with verification of alternative income, Gaps in Employment, automation tools, and other risk insights

Konfir helps organisations navigate the traditionally complicated employment and income verification processes with our cutting-edge technology, in a safe, secure and reliable way.
After an employment and income verification request is created by a verifier, in this case, the company requesting the verification, the Konfir platform immediately reaches out to the user to obtain their consent and request the connection of their payroll, banking accounts and HMRC records. This process is sometimes embedded via API in a verifier’s platform.
Once the connection is successful, the user’s employment and income history is automatically accessed, analysed, and reported using a variety of proprietary algorithms built by Konfir.
User’s employment and income are verified using the collected payroll, bank account and HMRC data in combination with other data sets to identify red flags or evidence of fraud. Through this process, verifiers save time and protect their organisation’s reputation, as there’s no longer a need to trawl through documents including bank statements, or wait for a previous employer to email back with verification information needed.
With the help of Open Banking, Payroll and HMRC data Konfir safely and securely removes the administrative burden companies face when requesting or completing employment and income verifications, while also supporting them to automate additional check types further and uncover risks.
