That’s a wrap on Konfir Konnect 2025! Engines roared, innovation accelerated, and the verification industry came together for a high-octane afternoon. With this year’s theme, ‘The Need for Speed’, we explored how automation, data, and innovation are transforming the pace and precision of verifications across sectors. Here’s a look at everything that made the day one to be remembered.
Robin Clarke, Head of Sales and Client Success at Konfir, opened the event. Attendees from across the ecosystem - employers, recruiters, background screeners, tenant referencing firms, lenders and technologists, were primed for an afternoon packed with insights and momentum.
Robin reaffirmed Konfir’s mission: to remove the friction from people’s key life moments by making verifications seamless, secure and lightning fast. He set the tone with a clear message, in today’s world, speed is no longer a luxury, it’s essential.
There was a buzz in the room as Perry McCarthy, former Formula 1 driver and Top Gear’s original Stig, took the stage. With a brilliant blend of humour and storytelling, Perry shared powerful lessons from motorsport on resilience, performance and rapid decision-making.
From gruelling shifts on North Sea oil rigs to the high-speed world of Grand Prix racing, Perry’s journey resonated deeply. He reminded us all of the power of determination, marginal gains and teamwork in achieving success, whether on the racetrack or in business.
Our Innovation Panel brought together leading voices from across the verification space to explore how automation is reshaping the industry and what lies ahead.
Panellists included:
Jaibir opened the discussion with insights into how human-in-the-loop AI agents are streamlining background checks by removing manual steps and delivering faster, cost effective, and reliable outcomes, without the headcount usually associated with background screening.
Kim spoke about the increasing demand for speed in employment screening, while stressing the importance of maintaining strong compliance as automation becomes more widespread.
Will shared how automated verification is helping lenders make quicker, smarter decisions by assessing applicants in real time with greater accuracy.
The panel made it clear that automation is not a distant goal. It is already transforming how verification is delivered, with trust, speed and efficiency at its core.
Attendees then had the chance to deep-dive into two dynamic breakout sessions:
1. Fast Data
Led by Oli Dean, automation expert and AI practitioner, this session tackled how organisations can practically apply AI to increase efficiency and drive real-world results.
2. Time to Value Creation
With Chris Lewis from Synectics Solutions, attendees explored how to use existing verification data to uncover new revenue opportunities, proving that the information you already hold can unlock powerful outcomes.
Two sector leaders took us behind the scenes of how their organisations are leading the charge with smarter, faster verification strategies:
Each shared tangible results from adopting modern methods, including improved turnaround times, higher success rates and better user experiences.
Before shifting into post-event mode, attendees got an early look at the future of verification with Konfir’s exciting product roadmap:
